Why Restorative Yoga?

You may have heard the term Restorative Yoga. On the surface, it might seem like simply lying around in different resting shapes for an hour.

Restorative Yoga is so much more than that!

At its core, Restorative Yoga is passive healing. Restorative Yoga uses long-held, supported resting poses that help us learn the skill of conscious relaxation. This practice helps us discover where we are holding tension in the body. It releases not only muscular tension, but mental and emotional tension.
