INTRODUCING ASTROLOGY

Throughout the course you will learn about the unique subject of astrology. In the words of Stephen Arroyo, 

"We are here to learn lessons and our birth chart tells us what our lessons are, what type of energy we possess in the first place, and how, by facing up to the challenges presented to us in life, spiritual growth will ensue. The birth chart is a 'tool' to guide us through our life. By understanding our basic makeup, we can learn to make the most out of our positive points and try to improve on our weaker ones."

 

The introduction to astrology can feel overwhelming and confusing. These classes are offered online from the comfort of your home and are designed to be interactive.

During the course, you'll have the chance to delve into both your own natal chart and those of your classmates. We'll utilize real-life examples to deepen our comprehension of astrological language and draw insights from each other's past and present encounters. This offers a delightful introduction to astrology and fosters connections with like-minded individuals, creating a supportive community for ongoing learning together!

During the first part of the eight-week course, you will be introduced to the fundamentals of astrology. We cover essential topics such as the planets, signs, and houses, along with instructions on how to generate a birth chart and an overview of various house systems. In the latter part of the course, we delve into more intricate aspects of the birth chart, including an exploration of aspects, sect, Chiron, and chart synthesis.

In this course you will learn how to:

  • Confidently decipher and interpret a birth chart

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of astrology beyond just the Sun sign 

  • Gain greater insight and understanding of yourself and others

  • Identify recurring patterns and life lessons within birth charts

  • Cultivate compassion, empathy and self-awareness within yourself and among others

Topics include:

  • The planets, the signs, the houses

  • House rulership, modalities and elements 

  • Introduction to aspects, sensitive chart points

  • Lunar phases and lunar nodes 

  • Introduction to sect, retrograde planets 

  • Chart synthesis, reading tips and tools

The Breakdown:

  • 8 weekly live classes (2 hours in length) hosted through zoom

  • Unlimited access to recorded video content

  • Astrology workbook with homework assignments, handouts, and cheat sheets

  • A copy of your natal chart

  • Q&A at the beginning of every class

We often stumble upon astrology when we are seeking answers to life’s harder questions. Astrology doesn’t necessarily reveal the answers we seek, but it uncovers potential outcomes and opportunities for growth.  

Laurelle believes that when you understand the language of the stars you are better equipped to handle life’s challenges. She believes that the study of astrology truly never ends, as there is always something new to learn and layer on.

Through teaching and readings she hopes to aspire others to cultivate tender compassion and self-awareness. Laurelle’s approach to astrology may be different from some, as she does not necessarily use astrology to predict the future, but to encourage patience, and uncover the ways we can best focus our energy.
